SIDMAR Completes the Shipment of Seagliders to SOCIB

Two Seaglider UUV iRobot, Underwater Unmanned Vehicles, were supplied by SIDMAR to ICTS SOCIB, after this company was awarded this contract last year. Seagliders become part of the high-tech Ocean Observing Systems of this organization.

Seaglider is designed to mesure and collect in-situ physicochemical parameters, and transmit these value data, during long-term missions. Researchers aim employ new and efficient monitoring instruments to analyze oceanic data, and thereby, to address scientific models that help to improve predictions of climate change, among other goals.

iRobot Seaglider is represented in Spain by SIDMAR, which also provides technical support and contributes to the promotion of the state-of-the-art of marine technology.
