3D-ACM Current Meter

The 3-Dimensional Acoustic Current Meter 3D-ACM of point velocity delivers extremely precise, three-axis velocity measurements in a defined free field. The 3D-ACM uses a current measurement technique accurate and stable. The instrument incorporates an internal fluxgate compass and tilt sensors to provide true current vector direction.

The 3DACM uses phase-shift acoustic transit time technology to provide high accuracy velocity, measures near seabead and surface in very clear as well as turbid water and no reflectors are required. The unit’s compact size and light weight make the 3D ACM well suited for multiple meter arrays.
