2D-ACM-PLUS+ Current Meter

The point velocity current meter 2D-ACM-PLUS+ delivers extremely precise two axis velocity measurements in a defined free field. The 2D-ACM-PLUS+ uses the most accurate and stable measurement techniques available today, with enhanced specifications and performance such as extended on-board data memory, fast download capability, high accuracy real time clock, and high speed data sampling.

Internal compass and tilt sensors provide magnetic horizontal current vector direction, without the need for specific orientation of the current meter during deployment. Because the meter measures a finite volume to provide a point velocity, they can also provide data in very shallow water or very near the ocean bottom. They are used worldwide for monitoring water currents in coastal areas, deep ocean sites, rivers, and lakes.

The 2D-ACM-PLUS+ also has the capability of adding a CTD module and can log up to two analog inputs from external sensors for quality waters such as OD or turbidity.
