iRobot®Seaglider Seaglider Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV)

Seaglider is a long range, high endurance deep-diving UUV that measures temperature, salinity and other quantities in the ocean, sending back data using global satellite telemetry.

Seaglider has an extended range of applications: physical, chemical and biological oceanographic data collection; persistent surveillance; marine environmental monitoring and a variety of other missions for oceanographers, maritime researchers and military planners.

• Maximum travel range / duration: 4600 km (650 dives to 1 km depth
• Typical speed: 25 cm/s
