Level, Tides and Waves

The water level, tides and waves are measured with microwave radars that have the advantage of measuring at a distance. The pressure sensors for measuring tides and waves are deployed in the water or on the sea bed, with the possibility of atmospheric pressure compensation. The PUV method combines pressure and ADV velocity data for directional waves, tides and currents. The capacitance wave height recorder is used in wave tanks.
