Mini-Pro Methane Sensor

The Mini-Pro Methane is a compact Methane sensor designed to provide accuracy and stability in applications involving immersion in water, oil or water dispersed oil. The instrument combines an oil resistant, pumped gas transfer interface (patented) with an IR detector that is linear in response to methane, but is also sensitive to other alkanes.

The Mini-Pro Methane is factory calibrated from 0-100% methane with calibration burned into EPROM. To maintain accuracy, the detector module has a power interruption or contact closure initiated automatic zero point calibration (AZPC). When the AZPC is initiated, the methane-free gas is routed through the detector. The CH4 zero measurement compensated for changes in optical cell performance, and is used in determinations of ppm CH4 until a new AZPC is performed.
